The Life of Adele (French: La vie d'Adèle) is a French romantic drama film directed, written and produced by Abdellatif Kessich. The film, with the English title Blue Is the Warmest Colour, won the Palme d'Or at the 66th Cannes Film Festival.

The film tells the story of a love affair between two lesbian women, presented in graphic and explicit imagery.[1] The film follows a young woman named Adele (played by Adele Exarchopoulos) who, although she is outwardly sexually attracted to men, falls in love with a girl named Emma (played by Léa Seydoux). Adele's Life chronicles this love affair and how the two girls gradually drift apart.
